Location of the Chemical Platform

Les Roches – Roussillon: The Largest Chemical Platform in France

Located between Lyon and Valence, between Northern and Southern Europe, the Chemical Platform of Les Roches-Roussillon is characterized by varied types of chemistry (phenols, sulphur, phosphates, methionine, silicon intermediates, etc.) and is served by multimodal infrastructure (motorway, rail, river).

The Platform is at the heart of the Lyon-Saint-Etienne-Grenoble triangle and near Lyon-Saint-Exupéry International Airport and its high-speed rail station. The Les Roches-Roussillon Platform offers special hospitality conditions to companies seeking a new location in Rhône-Alpes. The Platform enjoys a strategic location close to the Feyzin refinery. It represents one of the key components of the "Rhône-Alpes Chemistry Valley" that extends from Pierre-Bénite to Roussillon.

Halfway to the universities and research centres of Lyon and Grenoble, the Platform is particularly aimed at chemistry-related companies. Situated between the communes of Roussillon, le Péage-de-Roussillon, Salaise-sur-Sanne, and Saint-Clair-du-Rhône, it covers 150 hectares of space, and is located about forty minutes from the Lyon metro area and its three high-speed rail stations. It is located near four other motorways, enabling fast, direct access to Paris and all major European markets. It is also close to two airports (Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and Saint-Etienne).
